TCS to Remove 12,000 Employees in 2025

 TCS Layoffs – July 28, 2025 

1. TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) is planning to remove around 12,000 employees from their jobs.
2. This is about 2% of their total staff, which is more than 6 lakh people.
3. Most of the people losing jobs are in middle or senior-level positions.
4. The company says this is because of less work from clients, and a need for new skills like AI and automation.
5. TCS has also added a new rule: employees must work on projects for at least 225 days a year, or they may be removed.
6. This is one of the biggest layoffs in Indian IT history, and it will happen slowly over the next year (2026).
7. TCS says it will give support and help to those who lose their jobs.
